Day 1: Arrive at KEF– Rental Iceland Car
Blue Lagoon is just 20 minutes from Keflavík Airport simply take Reykjanesbraut (Highway 41) to Grindavíkurvegur (Highway 43) and follow the signs to Blue Lagoon.
Eat Breakfast: at Blue Lagoon
10:00 AM Blue Lagoon Lunch here at the cheap place.
2:30 PM Head to Place, see if we find a grocery store on the way. Our group does better when its all done at once.

Rest and recover from Jet Lag
Day 2: This is floating day.
Rest then leave to drive around the Golden Circle :
- Thingvellir National Park, a region of untouched beauty steeped in ancient history. Learn how it’s home to the original, outdoor site of Iceland’s first parliamentary assembly, the Althingi, that began in 930, and see the extraordinary Thingvellir rift, where the tectonic plates of America and Eurasia face each other over a narrow valley.
- Then continue to the Gullfoss waterfall. Marvel at the double-tiered falls and, with luck, catch sight of one of the famous rainbows that forms in the mists.
- Finally, visit the incredible geothermal region of Geysir, known for its hot springs and geysers. Take in the bubbling pools and steam vents, and see Strokkur, a waterspout that shoots to around 98 feet (30 meters) in the air.
- Stop for late lunch early dinner at the famous Fridheimar – This is a completely unique food experience centered around tomatoes that are grown right near where you sit to eat. Book a table in advance. https://www.fridheimar.is/en/restaurant
Day 3: Snowmobile day: 2 people per snowmobile
Leave house between 8:00 and 9:00 AM depending on weather.
Golden Circle Super Jeep adventure with snowmobiling
Your adventure day starts when we pick you up at the arranged time. Depending on the option you chose on booking, we pick you up in Reykjavik or from Gullfoss Cafe, located beside the famous Gullfoss Waterfall. Then we’ll head up to Langjökull Glacier, Iceland’s second largest glacier, in the Icelandic Highlands in our super truck. On a clear day, the views are incredible. You will be able to see Eiríksjökull Glacier (the highest mountain in west Iceland), Hofsjökull Glacier and the Kerlingafjöll Mountains.
Your certified glacier guide will provide overalls, helmet and all the gear you need, give you a safety briefing and a few straightforward snowmobile driving instructions. You are then ready to ride – driving a snowmobile is easy but feel free to ask any questions before you roar off. Your stunning 1-hour snowmobile ride will take you across Langjökull Glacier, the second largest glacier in Iceland, rising to 1450 m above sea level. Feel your excitement and adrenaline soar! Your snowmobile tour on Langjökull will feel like a magic carpet chase across the roof of majestic white land. Langjökull is known as ‘The White Glacier’, glaciers are predominately white but Langjökull is just so incredibly white. Make the most of the journey but feel your spine tingle in anticipation as you approach the natural ice cave – you will not be disappointed.
Before winter comes our glacier guides begin their exciting search for the new Langjökull Ice Cave. All ice caves are really special but some are more special than others! This year our Langjökull Ice Cave is a totally spellbinding stunner – we can absolutely promise you that this is the best ice cave yet. Remember, this is ‘The White Glacier’, well, our Ice Cave displays the most amazing bright jewel blue ice imaginable. The ice-ceiling above you resembles a brilliant blue river, the ice is so exceptionally translucent, it seems as though you are surrounded by pure blue-hued quartz crystal jewels. The ice around this ‘blue river´ is white, bearing very unusual subtle gray ‘zebra striping’, formed from the ash layers of various volcanic eruptions. You get about 15 minutes to explore and photograph the cave and to enjoy the rare and precious crystalline blue beauty of this amazing natural ice cavern.
Outside, your trusty snowmobile is waiting, ready to skim you across Langjökull to our Snowmobile Base Camp. We drop you back to Gullfoss Café.
The Glacier Snowmobiling and Ice cave tour from Gullfoss is a really great way to experience all that Icelandic glaciers can offer.
Please note: Two people ride each snowmobile. If you are on your own or you wish to ride solo you need to book this and pay an upgrade. All snowmobile drivers need to bring a valid Driving License.
What to bring: Warm layers, weatherproof top layer, headwear, gloves, scarves and sturdy hiking shoes. Warm overalls are provided.
We recommend that you bring a packed lunch along as well.

South Iceland Glaciers, Waterfalls and Black Sand Beach Day Tour from Reykjavik

Northern Lights
- A spectacle that can only be witnessed in the winter months
- In order to see the Northern Lights, you need a dark, clear night. They are visible from late September to March anywhere from 6pm to 6am. There also needs to be solar flares on the sun or solar wind; the Aurora Borealis happens when particles from the sun enter Earth’s atmosphere and collide violently with gas atoms. There is nothing in the world like it, definitely a must see in your lifetime. This is one of the Iceland tourist attractions that cannot be missed.
- The active phase of an auroral display will last on the order of 15 to 40 minutes and may recur in 2 to 3 hours.
